Thought for the Month.
Pete and I would like to say a big thank-you to all our friends in the villages and churches of the Waveney Benefice for the many cards, gifts and good wishes we have received on our departure and early retirement. We spent nearly nine years among you as your vicar (and “vicar’s wife”!), friends and colleagues. We have so many happy memories of our time among you and you continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.
After a hectic few weeks, we have finally emptied all the boxes and the house is now feeling very much like home.
The folk in our new village are welcoming and friendly and we have already made some new friends. Pete has joined the local art group and we have both (yes, both) joined the Community Singers, so our retirement life is shaping up nicely.
Pete has put his skills to good use building a new wood store and hopes to start on the small extension for his art room in the next couple of weeks. Julie has been busy at the sewing machine making / shortening curtains, and Kerry has used her abilities to eat, walk and doze in her basket to great effect.
As the summer weather is now here we also look forward to exploring and walking in the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds.
If any of you are in the area you are always welcome to pop by for a visit.
