Speedwatch Volunteers Wanted.

The Speedwatch scheme in Geldeston is going well but we do need more volunteers, if you have 2-3 hours free in a month you could join us and really make a difference. Please contact; Julie Dawnay, 76 The Street, 01502-712 909,

Summer events, Kirby Cane & Ellingham.

The Summer Lunch at Kirby Cane Memorial Hall on 15 June was well attended with a dazzling array of quiches, salads and desserts supplied by a team of volunteers. Thanks to all who attended, supplied raffle prizes or helped in any way and, especially, to Harvey Brothers Funeral Directors (The Co-op) who donated a fine hamper.

Hope to see you all at the next fund-raising event, our Yard Sale on Sunday 22 July, when, hopefully, the weather will be more “summery”’.

Thank you, Brian!

After ten years, Brian Norman is retiring from running the monthly film shows in Geldeston Village Hall. A big thank-you from everyone who has attended and enjoyed these shows over the years – and from the two organisations that have benefitted from regular donations from the event, Geldeston Village Hall and the School for Peace in the Congo.

Weekly Table-Tennis from now on.

From July onwards, the new table-tennis social club will be meeting weekly on Wednesdays, from 7 to 9 pm in Kirby Cane Memorial Hall. Text or phone David Robertson on 07787-872860 for more information, or email
