Summary of 11 September meeting.

The Parish Council met on 11th September 2019. Here is the summary:

Councillor Rowntree stood down from the role as the Responsible Financial Officer. The Clerk will be taking over this role.

Tidings: The Council has agreed a donation of £100 per year towards the running costs of the magazine.

Speed Watch: Urgently require more volunteers. You will be trained for this task. Email the Clerk for more information.

Speed Awareness Machine: The SAM2 machine will be delivered soon. A memorandum of understanding has been drawn up between Geldeston and Kirby Cane & Ellingham Parish Councils. A 4-week schedule has been finalised.

Street Library: We are thinking of putting the Street Library on shelves in the bus shelter. If you would like to help or have any views, please could you let the Clerk or one of the Councillors know.

New Play Area: Let’s Play Project is still ongoing. Please email:  Many thanks to the Wherry Inn and its customers for the three donations towards the play project.

Old Yarmouth Road: The incident a few weeks ago was discussed. We are trying to get the speed limit reduced.

Extra Dog Bin: The Council will be looking into providing a new dog bin near the Church.

Oak Tree: The Council are obtaining quotes for remedial work to a leaning oak tree at the Stone Pit.

Green Project: A volunteer is still needed to work alongside a resident to head up the team and share the responsibility. Please could someone help head up this valuable project.
