Next meeting Monday, 18 November 2019 at 7.30 pm.
Summary of 16 September meeting.
The parish council meeting on Monday, 16 September, was another busy one, partly due to the events that the parish council was organising in the early part of the month.
Several planning matters were also considered, and there was a lengthy discussion about the possible re-instatement of monthly bonfires during the winter months on the allotments – councillors decided to defer a decision until the November meeting.
The guided walks of the village on Saturday, 14 September, attracted 15 participants on a lovely sunny morning, and walkers enjoyed a very interesting tour of the village, taking in the water treatment plant, where staff from Anglian Water kindly gave up their free time to give a talk about the workings of the plant. The group wasalso treated to fantastic refreshments laid on at the Memorial Hall.
Arrangements for the Music in the Park event on Sunday, 22 September were also discussed.
Please note that there will be a talk on Basic Life Support and defibrillator use by a volunteer from the East Anglian Air Ambulance on Thursday, 3 October at 7.30 pm in Kirby Cane Memorial Hall.
A vacancy still exists for a parish councillor, and if you (or someone you know) would like to join the parish council and meets the residence and other criteria you/they can be co-opted. Please contact me for further information or take a look at the co-option policy on our website –
If you have any questions about any aspect of the parish council’s business, do please let me know, or approach any of your parish councillors.
The next parish council meeting will take place on Monday, 18 November, and all residents are, as always, very welcome to attend.
Jane Love, Clerk to the Council
